I'll be lying in bed watching T.V my kitten, Addie will come over lay on top of me and start purring and she will nibble or start to eating my blanketIs it something I should be worried about? When she does it I don't stop her it's been going on for a while now(The blanket she's nibbling at is really soft but I don't know the name of the fabric)
BEST BBQ GRILLED RIBS (SIMPLE) 2 racks of ribs salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste 1 bottle honey bbq sauce water 1/8 cup olive oil aluminum foil grill Start off by placing ribs in a glass casserole dish, rub with oil and then with salt and pepperNow flatten ribs as much as possible and add water just to barely cover themRibs racks may be cut in half if needed)Simmer in oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or just until tender; (don'’t try to cook them too fast or they will become tough)When ribs are finished in the oven, drain them, start grill on medium and allow to heatCover with foil and brush (or pour) on just a small amount of oil to keep ribs from sticking/burningBrush on first layer of bbq sauce after drainingOnce grill is heated, place ribs on grillCook covered for 5-10 minutes, then brush on bbq sauceGrill another 5-10 minutes, keep adding bbq sauce until there is a thick layer of bbq sauceIf ribs become somewhat dark, that's ok; the bbq sauce tastes better cooked than rawWhen bbq sauce is all gone, the ribs are almost doneGrill 5 more minutes to finish cooking bbq sauce, then serveIf they stick a little it is ok, that is what the oil and foil is for!!
slow cooked on a grill is the best wayI've used a crock pot too with successI hope you mean broiledBoiled baby back ribs would be awful.
The best is to smoke them for about 6 hours You can mimic the slow cooking of a smoker in a very low ovenI have a cheap water smoker that I useI find that boiling them makes them tough When I have boiled them it was just a par-boil where I finished them on the grill Just boiled ribs would be awful.
Slow cooked over indirect heat, preferably in a smoker at 250 degrees for 3 to 4 hours, never boiled If you boil ribs you loose most of the flavor in the meat and they are bland no matter what you do to spice them up and try to make them taste betterYou can do baby backs successfully using a weber kettle bbq with water soaked wood chips in a foil packet or small can successfullyJust be patientYou will be pleased with the resultsYou can use briquettes but be sure to replace the spent briquettes every 60 to 70 minutes of cooking.
Some cats have this fixation with wool sucking and will suck on a lot of fabrics - this could be a sign of lack of fibre in diet or other health problemThis is mainly for cats who suck a LOT and not just as comfortIt sounds much more like you cat is suckling on your blanket when she is warm and safeIt could be that she was weaned too young or it could jsut be her way of comfortMy female kitten does it to jumpers - if you cuddle her she will eventually settle down and suckle on you and sort of fall asleep - it's just her way of being comfortable and secureCats suckle on their mothers and knead with their paws to get the milk flowing - so in a way that is what she is doingIt comforts them and makes them feel safeSome cats grow out of it, others don'tUnless she does this to a lot of clothes I wouldn't worry about itIf you don;t want her sucking on your blanket though, when she starts just replace it with a blanket or soft toy of her ownIt is a good idea to at least monitor her suckling as it can be dangerous if she is chewing thread etc which could get stuck and cause a blockageBut shouting at her is not going to make her stop - it'll only make the suckling worse as she will suckle for comfort, you shout, she suckles to cheer up, you shout etcetc.
