Question:

My Motorcycle stock tire is 180/55/17. What r the size tires can i put on there.?

I was looking at some 190/50/17. Will they fit. And whats the difference between to 2 as far as handling, etc. Thanks for any info.

Answer:

You didn't mention what make/model/year but I'll say that it should fit though you may have to remove the rear brake assembly on certain bikes and work around the the tire for refitting. Added- As far as the handling, there will be a slightly different feel while in the corners leaning over so take it slow for awhile until you get used to it.
Im going to assume that its a sportbike based on the size you noted. Most sportbikes can accept a 190, however I would advise against it because the bike will not handle as well cornering, or should I say it will slow your bikes responsiveness in cornering. unless you are drag racing it on the weekends, it really wouldnt offer you much other than the looks of a bigger tire. it is slightly wider, but putting it on a wheel that is made for a 180 will cause you to have some side wall over hang and with that being said, will also offer you some drift at higher speeds under cornering conditions. If the bike is a 600 (again I am assuning due to a lack of info) you will also be adding unnecessary weight.
It's not that much different from your stock so it should fit without any modification. You won't notice much if any handling differences.
