Question:

My smoke detector is flashing a red light?

Ehh is my smoke detector beeping if there is no smoke

Answer:

By the name Fire Alarms, it is very self explanatory that these sets of equipment are used to give alarm and alert the people in case of fire. This set of equipment is called Fire Alarm and Protection System (FAPS), in which they are connected to each other that when one equipment detect fire, automatically the other will do its functions. These equipment are smoke detector, water sprinkler, fire alarm bell, emergency light and emergency exit. Other equipment used for fire fighting are fire hose and reel, fire extinguishers and fire axes.
Margaret, I've owned houses with electric furnaces - both forced air furnaces and heat pumps. Nether one produces any carbon monoxide - in fact, neither one is even connected to a chimney! As mentioned above, sleep tight - you have nothing to be concerned about.
