Question:

My windshield wipers stay up when I turn them off?

I have a 1999 Olds. Intrigue. When I turn my wipers off, they stick straight up. Anyone know why?

Answer:

Remove your wiper arms. Not just the blades, but the complete arm. Turn on your wipers, then turn them off. The motor will be in the park position. Reinstall the wiper arms so that they are also in the park position. Make sure that your spline shaft on the arms and/or actuator shafts is not worn. That can cause the wipers to slip on the actuator shaft.
they arent sensing the command to park. you need to get a wiring diagram of your wiper motor circuit and then make sure the wire that commands the wiper motor to park has continuity. most times you are gonna end up replacing the wiper motor though
