Need help with my bike tire?

My tire is a little flat which makes it difficult for me to ride my bikeIt‘s not a real flat as i can pump my tire.So when i sit on my bike i see that my tire is flatWhen i get off my bike i press on the tire to check how it is and it is hard as rock.I also try to pump and i can‘t because the tire is full please help!

You never told us if the bike you had was a racing bike which has a presta valve which is different than a mountain bike. If you have a mountain bike bring it to your local garage and you can pump it up for free inflate the tire to the recommend tyre pressure this should be on the side wall of the tyre etc (inflate to psi 75) The problem is some hand pumps aren't made to pump past a certain psi this is what's happening to you the small pump cant take the pressure so it feels like the tire is full. You should get a new pump as you will always have this issue while pumping up your bike tires. Best of luck
On the sidewall of the tire will be guidelines from the manufacturer as to minimum maximum inflation levels. Use a GOOD air gauge to check your tires for proper air pressure. Any tire, even with as little as 20 lbs. of air will feel firm. That doesn't come close to even what a mountain bike tire usually holds. Let's put it this way. I check my tires before every ride with an air gauge.
