Question:

Need some ideas for one-night-in-Chicago trip.?

Surprising my wife with a trip to Chicago for our anniversary in April, and need some ideas for what to doWe're flying in on Saturday morning and flying out on Sunday around noonShe's never flown before and hasn't really been anywhere, so this is going to be a great surprise (SHhhhhhh!)I was thinking about either doing the dinner cruise in the harbor, there is a Cubs game that day (time TBA), or just walking around site-seeing.any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:

Wow, you've already got a great day plannedAll I would suggest is that if you're going to the Cubs game for your anniversary, sit anywhere but the bleachersThey can get pretty blasted out there and some jerk yelling something can ruin your whole dayBut you've got the boat thing down, which is coolAll I would suggest is making a stop to the Signature Room at the top of the John Hancock buildingThere's an elevator on the south side of the buildingTake it up to the Signature room bar, have a cocktail or two and marvel at the viewAt night it's something elseAmnd best of all it's free well, you do have to buy a couple of drinks, but it's better than paying for the observation deck and having to deal with kids running around and yellingOther than that, I'd suggest maybe catching a Second City show then stopping at the Old Town Ale House across the street for a drink and listen to the best jazz juke box in the city (ok, maybe a close second to the one in the Green Mill jazz club)And speaking of the Green Mill, that might be a good place to catch a showIt hasn't changed much since Al Capone hung out thereIt can get crowded on Saturday night so if you're thinking of going there, get there a little early, say about 8 or 9It's not that big and it can get packed, but it's a good place to make a celebrity sighting every once in a whileThere is a cover charge, but not too much (about $10 at the most)It's on the far north side of the city, but you can get there pretty easily in a cabIt might cost about $20 each way depending on where your hotel is, but i say it's worth itThey have a website too so you can see who'll be thereGood luck and hope you get lucky :)
Smaller lampwork beads that are lower than a million/4 from the mandrel to the wall will in quite some circumstances live on at the same time as placed in an insulating ecosystem like vermiculite or frax blanketprevious that it will be had to anneal the thicker beads to stay away from them from crackingAnnealing calls for an oven which will carry about 900F and then ramp down slowly to about 600F over 4-6 hours then cool to room temp.
