too much nitrogen ? i bet they are big beautiful and green but no fruit , too much fertilizer .
Michelin Pilot Road 3 - I got 12,000 miles out of my last pair. They are dual compound (hard center for long distance, soft sides for handling) and they have a more aggressive tread pattern for water dispersion in the rain. I'm on Pilot Road 2 now because I don't ride as much as I used to and I'm hardly ever in the rain.
If you want reliable, long-lasting sport-touring type tires, I'd go for either the Avon AM26 Roadrider or the Bridgestone Battlax BT45. The Avon has even better reviews so I recently purchased them - extremely satisfied so far. They are supposed to be even better and even more long-lasting than the Battlax - and the price is great too.
I used to run a pirrelli on the front from memory i think it was an M33 great at dispersing water in the wet and great handling in the dry and a bridgestone battle axe on the rear on the rear medium compound best overall for handling and traction, they were just what i used and I found them very good, Decision is all yours best chatting to some one in your local bike shop
