Question:

One windshield wiper doesnt move. Other seems to work. What is my problem?

So I have a 1996 Cadillac DeVille. A little while ago I turned the wipers on but didn‘t realize they were frozen to the windshield. Now only the passenger side wiper moves when I turn on the wipers. I‘m assuming that they both run on one motor. If so, then I‘m guessing I must have stripped out some kind of gear. Is this correct? What is the name of the part I should be searching for to fix it?

Answer:

There is a rod that connects both of your wipers together, and it usually has a nylon socket that fits onto a metal ball type bolt on each wiper under the dash. If the wipers were frozen to the windshield, it could have popped off of the ball fitting on one side or the other. Check that out, it is more than likely the problem, just push it back onto the ball, you will feel it kind of snap when it pops on.
No. Just no. There is no low rider brand. No manufacturer could make money off them. They're all modified after purchase.
A lowrider is not a model of car, but rather a name for a style of customizing done to various cars. However, some popular cars to turn into lowriders are Chevy Impalas, Cadillac Eldorados, Lincoln Mk VIs, Chevy El Caminos, and Chevy Monte Carlos
The previous answers are correct, but the favorite low rider originally was the Chevy Impala.
At the base of the wiper arm you will see a plastic cover; lift it up and you will see a nut; tighten that nut when the other wiper is in the correct position, and you will be good to go. Just make sure that the other wiper is in the position it should be in when the wipers are turned off, so they will be in time.
