Standard orifice meters must be fitted with condensing containers when measuring steam, because the steam is divided into two types, one is saturated steam and the other is superheated steam. The temperature of saturated steam is generally between 150 and 300 degrees Celsius, and the temperature of superheated steam can reach 650 centigrade. Therefore, by condensing the container, the steam is condensed into water, and then connected to the differential pressure transmitter through the pressure taking pipeline, so as to avoid the direct contact with the differential pressure transmitter of the steam, thereby causing the temperature to be too high and damaging the differential pressure transmitter.
