Ok so I have pcos and I know that I need to be eating a low carb high fiber diet to help with the symptoms, but I need help with a list of foods that would include.
stuff the cavity with fresh slices of lemon and herbs of your choice, this will steam so it should keep the inside moistCut slashes on the outside of the fish-about an inch deep and an inch apartRub your marinade into the slashes so flavour will travel throughThen wrap in oiled parchment paper, re-wrap in two or three layers of newspaper making sure it's tight and then immerse it all in waterStraight on to the bbq before newspaper disintergrates-cook for approx twenty five to thirty minutes depending on size.
Wrap it up in foilMake sure its nice and tightThe steam will trap all the juice inside and keep it nice and moist
wrap it in tinfoil maybe with some sliced up lemon and/or fresh dill for more flavor.
I found quite a few foods that are high fiber, low-carb (or low-glycemic) AND also contain naturally occuring D-Chiro-insitol or pinitolcantaloupe, oranges, buckwheat, alfalfa, peas, beans, lentils, peanuts, beef heart/liver, eggs, kasha, chickpeas, soybeans and soy lecthinNot things you want to snack on all the time, but defiantely add some really great nutrients to a well-balanced diet and exercise programIt's not all about the carbs, eitherwhich is why I mentioned low-glycemic food itemsIf you are experiencing insulin resitance, like myself, it's a good idea to get all of your sugar from natual whole grains (nothing that says bleached wheat or is highly processed etc.), fruits, and veggies, which even if high in carbs, they are really beneficial to those of us with insulin resistance Excercise is always awesome, too! Good luck :)
