Their hair metal, just like Poison. Haha they are in the right place.
GnR isn't hard rock, sorry. They were part of a huge genre that lated almost a decade, and while that rock is considered harder than the music you hear today it's not the same thing as ACTUAL hard rock Hair metal's not a bad thing, it just has an un-just bad connotation.
Groups like twisted sister and slayer are also categorized as hair bands too. They are heavy metal as is rob zombie and Ozzie and Alice cooper. Guns and Roses got in on the end of the hair band and they were consider a hair band> In truth they were the death of the hair bands, When welcome to the jungle hit it put the last last nail in the coffin that groups like White Shark great white and white snake built.
hair metal to me was Poison,Warrant etc...Guns Roses had to many ego's, if they did'nt they could have been the biggest !!!!
