When i was coming home today, was perfectly fine, then all of a sudden, when driving in a straight line, a quiet bumpy noise was coming from the rear (think its something to do with the offside rear) and as i got closer to home, it got worse and worse, and then it went from making a noise in a straight line, to whenever i turned, or in a straight line, i think it might be a wheel bearing, i‘m not too sure thoughits hard to explain the sound, when you slow down you can hear it as the wheel moves around, etc, what do you guys reckon? wheel bearing or what?
loose lugnuts, tighten them
that wheel bearing is ready to fail the noise is the first warning the second warning will be the wheel detaching from the car and rolling into traffic, do not rely on the shake test to diagnose a bad wheel bearing, bearings with NO PLAY have come off a car and taken the wheel with it only to have a kid tell me oh i heard it grinding for a month, but there wasnt any play in the wheel
