At the start of the film, the boy and prisoners sang the song which called all the pirate lords together and was only to be sang when the pirate lords were to be summoned to the brethren court i think, but Elizabeth also sang the song, so someone must have sang that song for her to heave learnt it at some point - so how come the pirate lords were only told 'the song has been sang' when the boy and other prisoners sang it and not when Elizabeth sang it or whoever taught her the song in the first place? Hope this makes sense
I think the song may actually refer to the high pitched ringing sound that the piece of eight was making. I think the pieces of eight start to sing to them, so to speak, when the time has come to convene the court. I think it's merely coincidence that Hoist the Colors was being sung by the masses of condemned pirates and by Elizabeth, or perhaps it was their utterance of that song that began the pieces of eight singing in the first place... but again, I think it's the ringing of the pieces of eight that should be considered significant.
That song is to be sung by Pirates when the Pirate colony is in grave danger. When that song was sung, the boy was holding an original Peice of Eight, which caused the Peice of Eight to ring, sending out messages to the other Pirate lords, Which obviously reached Barbossa, and he must've spoke with Elizabeth, since she doesn't have a Peice of Eight, and so she was singing the song. Which turned out to be a trap for 3 Singapore pirates, when she put the knife to ones throat, and the other two drew swords, so maybe it was just a trap, Elizabeth singing, and when the Pirates heard they drew their attention towards her, forcing them to take her and Barbossa to Sao Fang. Remember? T.M.
If you rember the movie she became a pirate and Gibbs knew alot about pirates when she was a kid and even possibly they (Jack and the others) told her to sing that song.
