Question:

pressed powder help!!!?

So I am a biginner at makeup and I was wondering how do you use pressed powder? Like how do you know when you've put enough on and how do you put it on? This is probably a dumb question so sorry if it is. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Answer:

Get a big, oversized blush brush. This way it makes it really hard to put on to much. The brush should be the size of a coke can or a bit smaller. Brush lightly over face. If you cant tell where you have it on or if you need more then its a waste of money and you don't need it yet.
Press powder is different from loose powder. Normally press powder has a little sponge with it but don't run the sponge on your face over wise it can irritate your skin sometimes (well from my experience with press powder) make sure you dab the sponge on your face and don't put to much on because if your like me I have very dry skin so I can't wear powder at all. Hope this helps :)
Amber and Melissa are both right. Application is much better with a big, fluffy brush. Swirl it around the powder 2-3 times and lightly dust it over your face, focusing on oilier areas like nose/forehead/chin first. If you look cakey you've used too much; you'll be able to tell. If you choose to use the powder puff, pat, don't rub, and wash it out dry it if it starts to look dirty. Revlon's Nearly Naked pressed powder is super fine-milled, looks great, is easy to use and it's inexpensive. Have fun enjoy!
You will need: -a powder brush which is slight bigger than a blush brush. It should be of good quality (it shouldn't be 'scratchy') and it should be in between fluffy and dense. -pressed powder Instructions: - sweet your brush onto the powder once -apply most of the powder on your tzone which is your forehead, nose and chin as people tend to get oily in those areas the most -only sweep on the same area no more than two times as you will get a cakey look -if you meed to reapply powder again later on the day, use blotting sheets instead. Tip: since you're a beginniner, I suggest you use translucent powder or yellow powder such as Ben Nye Banana Powder.
