Question:

problems with Pampered Chef Cookie Press?

I am having the hardest time getting my cookies right when using my press. I've got a really tasty recipe that works well in the press if I click the lever TWICE rather than just once. Clicking it twice creates a cookie that is way too big and not as crispy as I would like. Does anyone have tips for me to get my cookie to stick to the pan with just one click on the press? It was driving me crazy today! Thanks for any advice, I've been baking for a while but I'm brand new with the cookie press.

Answer:

I am a Pampered Chef consultant. A lot of the cookie press success is trial and error, but I have found that the temperature of the dough and the consistency of the dough make a lot of difference. If you think the dough is too thick, let it get a little warm or use less flour. Do the opposite if it's not thick enough. I have a flyer of helpful hints that I give to anyone that orders a cookie press from me. If you would like to have that, I can e-mail it to you. You can e-mail me through my profile and I'll send it to you. As for the two clicks - have you tried doing one and a half clicks? I do that a lot with mine. Click it once, then squeeze the trigger again, but not enough to make it click. I hope that helps!
