Question:

PS3 HD Cables Question?

I just bought a PS3 and own a HD LCD Insignia tv. I had a universal HD cable from EBgames that works with PS2, Xbox and Xbox 360, I used it with my PS3 and I get picture and 720 support but there's somewhat of a grainy image in the back, it doesn't look as sharp as my 360. Is it my cables? do I need a better brand?

Answer:

Please okorder
Yeah HDMI cables are more advantageous perfect because they transmit alerts digitally. I study someplace digital is more advantageous perfect because it transmits alerts mistakes loose at the same time as AV cables reason some kind of deterioration in the technique.
Yes, you need new cables. I also have an HD LCD flat panel Television. I hooked my PS3 to my TV using HDMI cables that costs $60 but it looks great! It is a lot of money just for cables but it is worth it. Im Just Joe
Well, there are several possible culprits: the TV itself, the TV inputs, the section of cable after outputs join (the outputs being the PS3, the 360, etc.), the section prior to where they join, and the PS3 itself. Knowing the 360 delivers a clear image rules out the first 3 of the five problems (since the PS3 shares with the 360 the TV, the TV inputs, and the section of cable after all the outputs join). That means either the first section of cable and/or the PS3 itself are faulty. I can safely say that the odds of this problem having to do with the PS3 itself are minimal. This only leaves the cable. When selecting a cable to purchase, 3rd party components are rarely as reliable as 1st part components. 3rd party cables mean (in this case) not made by Sony. I suggest that you purchase an HDMI cable for your PS3. HDMI provides the highest fidelity image available. If your television supports HDMI, that is the way to go (check your TV's manual if you are unsure). If your TV doesn't support HDMI, the next best thing is component input (which still provides an excellent HD image). I suggest SONY's component video cable which you can purchase at almost any local videogame store.
Any product labeled universal (unless it's a remote control) is bound to be of shoddy quality. Find some S-Video or HDMI cables made specifically for PS3.
