Question:

Pulling up Carpet?

I want to pull up the carpet in my house. The carpet now is the cheapest they make...I believe. I bought the house 1 1/2 years ago and have been waiting until now to do it. What do I need to know before I open this can of worms

Answer:

Call of a good friend and bring a bottle of wine. If its a disaster at least the drinkin will be good.
It's easy. Since it's usually ripped up the same day the new carpet goes in, you need to have a broom handy. The carpet installers don't mind the dust. Keep a tube of caulk nearby. It's a great time to spread a bead of caulk into any cracks in the cement floor. The cracks can allow insects in if they get too big.
get a razor knife cut the carpet in 2ft widths and roll up and throw away
