can any one tell me if it is possible that i could change my automatic transmission to a manual transmission without changing the engine?? just the transmission and do i have to change the computer too??
I asked my friend who is a certified Honda mechanic, and he said yes it's possible, and you would not have to change the computer, but you would also have to install hydraulic lines and a clutch pedal. It's not worth the trouble.
I completely agree with 95% of what you said. I've been at a private school for the majority of my life and was at a public school for 2 years so I have a more advised opinion then the senseless guy saying maybe it's the bad kids. There is no such thing, the environment has a huge impact on who people are. 1.yes, many teachers only see it as a job to pay the bills. A teacher once said that openly. Some don't even like kids 2. I don't see the problem with having tests since it's important, but yes OAA and IOWA etc go on forever 3. definitely true, they just give work to fill time, pointless work when they don't teach enough. They will sit at their desk and give a stupid (many times noneducational) movie for everyone to watch and then say write an essay about it. 4. yeah that's why I went back to a private school for high school, I wasn't being challenged at the public school. the students were several years behind academically even though most students were older than me in my grade because they all had been held back 5. yeah and the few extra curricular activities they do have is very limited and cost over $200 to join 6. I think all students could agree it has felt like prison sometimes more often than not teachers talk about inappropriate stuff in class. form friendships with certain few students. I question if they are even going by the curriculum. Students get suspended for 2 weeks for the smallest things. I thought attendance at the prison was so important? teachers don't want to teach private schools have just as much negatives, it feels like a cult or prison even more so. I would go as far as saying teachers are emotionally abusive to students at a private school. Students are terrified of some teachers, they will yell at you and purposely embarass you in front of everyone. They make me feel like I have to be perfect

i did a similar swap on a civic i had, i swaped out the whole engine to a 5spd engine it made it alot easier its alot of work, not hard just alot of work u dont have to change the ecu but ur check engine light will be on. simple fix for that is get the correct ecu, search google
Buying an Accord with a manual transmission is a better way to go. It is not practical to change any modern car from automatic to manual or vice-versa. You have to change not only the transmission and pedals but the engine computer and wiring harness, too. Your automatic car has a Transmission Control Unit, the manual version does not. Then the little by-the-ways pop up, odd things beyond details like the clutch safety switch. For example, in your 1992 Accord automatic transmission the rear engine mount is a hydraulic device that is controlled by vacuum. When the transmission is in gear and the throttle is at idle the mount is soft, and it stiffens when you are in neutral or park or when not at idle. The mount is completely different in a manual Accord. A significant fraction of the attempted transmission conversions fail altogether as the owner runs out of money. You can expect to spend at least twice what your 1992 Accord is worth just to make a decent attempt, and when you are done the best you can hope for is your car will be worth less than if it had a salvage title.
