Why do we need the camera to be 'cooled' during the image capturing process? As in the dark images, how does heat affect the camera's detector? Does the detector get messed up from the heat by measuring 'more' photons?

Man, your talking about the cali fires, and im sitting over here freakin out about the ohio floods! My thoughts are with you guys over there. We had a firestorm over here in my area several years ago. It was horrendous. Looters? There is only one way to deal with them. The old fashioned way. Shoot first, ask no question later. I think this is the ONLY crime that such rule has ever been applied.
