I let my brother borrow my laptop charger and he gave me the part that plugs into the computer, but he gave me a different cord that plugs into the wall and the charger because he had left it in his girlfriends truck. The card that plugs into the wall and charger says 7A 125V and on the charger it says the input is 100-240V~1.5A(1,5A) and the output is 19V 3.42A(3,42A) Will it still work? or is it too big of a difference?
Hello! The output from the wall is always going to be the same as what goes into the charger no matter what cable you use. As long as the cable fits the charger you are good. The thing that does all the magic and corrects the current and voltages etc, is the charger itself. As long as you have the correct charger, you'll be fine. Its when you use a different charger that you run into problems.
