Question:

question on windshield wipers.?

i just went to a mechanic to get my washer fluid nozzles replaced, and when they put the wiper blades back on, they sit higher than before, how do i put them lower? (i just noticed it)i dont feel like going back to the mechanic right now.like. the wipers rest like 2 or 3 inches higher now. how can i fix it myself?

Answer:

the wipers are driven by splines on the on the shaft they sit on.You simply remove them and position them a little further down. Most fords have a small release lever on the top side of where they mount on.Lift the wiper blade lift the release then rock the wiper while pulling up.Be careful not to drop the wiper blade on the windshield,if it hits too hard it can break the windshield
If they removed to wiper's arm to get to the nozzle then they put it back in incorrectly. It's usually just a simple nut that hold it in place. Lift up the cover to the nut, unscrew it, take out the arm, place the arm in the correct position, screw back the nut. This instruction depends on the model, most are like this, not all.
That's not possible. 1st. they are not adjustable 2nd they would not have to remove the wiper arm to replace the nozzle.
