I have a 16 x32 Inground pool with steel walls and vermiculite bottom. I am getting a new liner installed tomorrow and the pool guy drained the pool yesterday. We are getting a lot of rain today and Im worried about the ground water affecting the bottom, like it is going to push out the vermiculite bottom. Is this something to be worried about? Also the pool guy says he is going to have the old liner ripped out and the new one ready for water in 1 ? hours. Is this possible? He thinks I have water leaking into the bottom underneath the liner already. Is that a big deal? Another thing he said was that he was going to cut in the main drain in the center of the deep end before they start to add water. I thought you had to put about 12” of water in before you cut the main drain in to insure that it is seated properly and the liner stretches correctly. Anyone who could ease my mind on some of these questions, your knowledge would be appreciated.
