Question:

Ran over a speed bump that I didn't see?

I was driving at a considerably high speed with my 2007 TSX and ran into a speed bump that popped out of no where. I tried to brake as hard as I could but I still ran over the speed bump at a bad speed, I don't hear any strange noises so I'm not sure if i damaged my suspension or not but my headlights seem to be uneven now, my right side is shining more light than my left side I'm curious what is wrong with my car? Have I damaged my front rear alignment?

Answer:

They are all connected so when one goes off they all will. They are either RF (radio frequency, talk to each other) or hardwired together. If a mouse chewed the wires they wouldn't sound an alarm they would just stop working except for the battery back up. Pull the batteries out of one and see if it still has power, if it does you have electrical power. weird things like Mist (from an A/C vent) can activate a smoke detector as well. Just make sure you check throughly for any signs of fire/smoke before you dismiss the alarm as false!!
Depends how sensitive the fire alarm is , if its a good fire alarm it will set off when the slightest bit of smoke is detected .
