I say, use the combination of tires that you find fits your riding style and the bike that you have chosen. If they work for you use them. No, I don't like your theory. If the rear tire is slipping, you need to change your riding style for the types of riding where it is slipping or you need to find a tire that doesn't slip or both. I used to love Metzlers and hated Bridgestones until I bought a bike were the Bridgestones worked better than the Metzlers for that bike, until I found Avons. Next bike the Avons didn't work so well and I was back to bridgstones until I found Michelins. Each bike is different. you will find a tire combination that works for you. Stick with it. If you buy a new bike, try what you liked on the last bike but keep your mind open to other combinations.
