Question:

severe pain in dental bridge/implants,can a regular dentist know if there is a abscess?what could this be?

hi everyone i am hours away from where i got my implants done,i got them over 2 years ago and then a bridge now i am having lots of pain all of a sudden and can only make it to a regular dentist could they tell by x rays and looking at the gums if i have a abscess or if it has failed?as i cant make it to see the specialist anytime soon, what could be happening, could anti biotics help or could this be serious like they need to be taken out??im so worried any advice appreciated thanks!

Answer:

Yes a general dentist should be able to at least diagnose the problemHe may need to refer you to a specialist, depending on what may need to be done to correct the situationGood luck.
One of the reasons there are even markers in that price range is because they're not all metalThe cheapest, all-metal (aluminum) marker is the Spyder Xtra, but it's $85You have to dip into used markersEven then, the best you can hope for is markers like the Xtra, or older versions of electronic spyders (older Electra, Imagine, E-99, etc).
there isnt any that full metal unless you get n old one or a pump gun but those will run over 300
