Question:

Should I report lazy pizza delivery boys?

I'm a 25 year old model, so when I'm not starving myself, I'm binging on laxatives. Once a month, I treat myself to a thin crust, veggie pizza. But these pizza delivery boys are ruining my treat! They call telling me to pick up my order from the car. I'm getting sick of yelling I ordered delivery, not pick up! I'm in New York but live in a house, so its not like they are traveling up a 10 story building in the projects! Shouldn't they be grateful to have a job in this economy? Should I report them?

Answer:

No need for spacers at all. You're going to rub a little at full lock on the lower control arms, but you can adjust the steering stops to avoid that. 33 tires are about the biggest you should run on stock wheels. If you can afford to get a set of black steel wheels, rock crawlers, steelies, D-windows, whatever people want to call them. They're cheap and work great. You can get them with less back spacing. I would recommend a 15x8 with about 4 of back spacing. Stock is 15x7 with 5.25 of backspacing, so 15x8 with 4.75 would be stock (just 1/2 wider on each side). 4 back spacing is just pushing the wheels out 3/4 of an inch, which will help reduce the rubbing, give a slightly wider stance (which is good for a higher vehicle) but still not stick out too much or add that much extra stress to the unit bearings.
To magnetize something of pretty substantial size, you need a magnet of pretty substantial size. Take a clue from the size of the electromagnets they use in car wrecking yards. Those ought to work fine on fire hydrants. I'm not sure if any city has ever passed a law against magnetizing fire hydrants and manhole covers. Yes, once successfully magnetized, they should stay that way for a while. Slow exponential decay and all that.
