Question:

should key lime pie rise in the oven?

I just took my key lime pie out of the oven it cooked for 17 min. and did not rise. Half of the pie crust is visible since the batter didn't rise. Did I do something wrong or is does this pie not rise?

Answer:

This recipe is great, no meringue here. I serve with whip cream. Enjoy. Key Lime Cheesecake 1 9-inch deep-dish graham cracker crust 3 eggs 2 8-oz. packages cream cheese, softened 2/3 cup sugar 16 oz. sour cream 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 cup key lime juice Beat eggs and add cream cheese, sugar, sour cream, vanilla and key lime juice and beat until smooth. Pour into piecrust and bake at 350 degrees for 60 - 70 minutes. Allow to cool in the refrigerator for several hours before serving.
Check out the non-bake cheesecake in the box in the aisle next to the Jello pudding. Has graham cracker crust in the box and everything. Real easy.
