Am not an expert. Do not think it is any more dangerous to your health than a lot of other types of work. Office buildings are unhealthy due to mold growing in duct work . So no place is 100 percent healthy. If you are concerned on the dust you are breathing , wear those white face masks and use the gloves. . The chemicals/fertilizer issues are mainly a concern if improperly used. Just do it right and you should have no problems. Good luck !
