I have recentely acquired a Briggs and Stratton 5 hp Horizontal engine. I bought it to use in a go kart project and still going to. Im in the process of repainting all the covers etc and today I thought Id start it. It is fussy and the best way is to squirt some gas into the carburator to prime it and fill the bowl, however it ran for about 4-5 seconds then stopped and caught fire, luckily I was able to put out the fire with the garden hose. Will the engine be ok or could it be damaged
