I am a senior who is distraught and don't know what to do.I have 3 smoke detector outlets in my condo. It's made by FIREX, Model 120-1072B. The condo is 14 years old. Two of the detectors are fine and working. The 3rd detector which is in my home office, has been missing since I moved in and never replaced it.I now wish to replace it but find out that this model has been discontinued but has been replaced by Firex 4618 (?).I wish it were that easy because I read online that the wiring harness is different and I don't know how to change that. Calling an electrician would be costly.Do I have any other options? I heard someone say I could just get a battery-operated smoke detector and maybe get a neighbor to install for me? All my neighbors are busy and I really don't want to ask for favors. What to do? This is stressing me.Thank you.
no but I've hit a squirrel, and had a rock hit me in the knuckles while following a van ,a bee in the arm that left a welt for 3 days and have come real close to hitting a bird a few times
My bike did, but I didn't. The worse thing I ever got hit by was a june bug at 70 mph. It hit me right between my eyes, on the bridge of my sunglasses, it hurt like hell and it left a welt for two days. Just got home and almost hit a duck. Luckily the duck gained altitude and I ducked, this was a close one!!!
Had a couple of birds hit the bike but not Me.
No the alarm just notifies the fire department and course lets others know to evacuate the building. Heat turns the sprinklers on.
Yes, head on! It hit me hard enough to split the face shield on my helmet. The best thing a helmet will ever do for you is to hold up that face shield. That type of impact could have easily knocked me out. That shield saved my life!
