I'm looking for a recipe to make tiramisu. i found it in a better homes and gardens book a few years back. It's not the one in the new better homes and gardens. I would guess the year is early 2000s and it uses hot milk sponge cake. if you have this recipe please help. i really need it. and u get 10 points :)
Your Answer: Hot Milk Sponge 1 c. Flour 1 tsp. baking powder 2 eggs 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. milk 2 Tbl. .butter 1. Grease 9x9. Stir together flour and baking powder. 2. Beat eggs with electric mixer on high for 4 minutes. Gradually add sugar, beating 4-5 minutes until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients beat on low speed until combined. 3. In a small pan, heat and stir milk and butter until butter melts. Add to batter and beat until combined. Pou batter unto pan. 4. Bake at 350 for 20 -25 minutes. Tiramisu 1 hot Milk sponge 1/3 c. granulated sugar 2 Tbl. instant expresso powder 2 Tbl. Rum 2 - 8 oz. containers Marscapone Cheese or softened cream cheese 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 oz. semisweet chocolate, grated 1 c. whipping cream 2 Tbl. coffee liquuer 1/2 oz. semisweet chocolate grated 1.Cool cake and remove from pan. 2. for Syrup, in a sm saucepan combie granulated sugar, expresso powder and 1/3 c. water. Boil for one minute, remove from heat and stir in rum. Cool Completely. 3.For filling, in a medium bowl stir together cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla and 2 oz chocolate. 4. Cut cake in 3 layers horizontally. Return a layer to pan. Brush layer with 1/3 syrup. Spread with 1/2 filling. Repeat with next two layers. Brush top with syrup. 5. In a chilled bowl combine whipping cream and coffee liquor. Beat with chilled beaters until soft peaks form. Spread whipped cream and sprinkle with chocolate. refridgerate at least 4 hours.
