I really like to work my legs but I really want to know which I should work them on. The gym has a squat machine and a leg press machine. I do a lot more leg press because I can't do a lot of weight on the squat. So this is what I was thinking. Do reps on the squat, like 3 sets of ten with 200 lbs. And then do more of the heavier work on the leg press. Really I'm not sure what to do but I'd like to incorporate both machines in my workout. Can anyone help?
Leg press is a great exercise, however the squats don't only work the leg. They also work the core. Right now your plan looks fine, but consider that the squat is a more compound exercise and will work several muscles.
