hello, i'm not really an audiophile (or i don't think so) i'm looking to control volume somehow since im hooking headphones directly to rca with an adapterto someone like me(non audiophile) would volume control and headphone amp make any kind of difference to each other?
I'm not sure what your connecting. However a in-line volume control on a headphone cable won't make the headphones any louder. It will only control the volume. If you want the headphones to be louder you could get a headphone amp (they usually have there own volume control) and use that more efficiently. I use a audio device with a higher output, so I use a In-line volume control to lower the volume into the recording device. (Just for thoughts)
