Question:

Starter wire 1980 Chevrolet?

I thought I would save some time and leave starter hooked up while pulling transmission and all the wires got pulled off so now I don't know what wire to the starter switch, if someone can help me identify the wire to the starter switch then I know the rest of the wires go to the battery side of the starter?Thank You

Answer:

it will probably not work so don't try it unless you want to do that for any reason
Stop the smoke source, get air around the detector to clear it. Then press the little red button to test it. If not working check the battery.
Try running the hot water until your water heater has exhausted the tank of the older water and the water has turned cold. Your hot water heater stores water and cold water comes straight from the main line. Chances are your hot water heater still has this stirred up water in its tank. Yes running a hydrant does shake up the line a bit. It can become violent when I test them.
no need for it I think them ships are metal the lightning would travel down the sides of the ship and into the water I think
Smoke detectors CAN become clogged with smoke, dust, or any other fine particles. This can cause them to alarm when they shouldn't or fail to alarm when they should. You should not cover your smoke detector with smoke. If you need to test it's operation, simply push the button and it should sound for a moment. The smoke detectors in private houses are usually battery operated units, each operating independently. The smoke detectors in apartment buildings, commercial buildings, or other multi-tenant structures will almost always be tied in together in a coordinated system that is monitored in some central location, and will all be powered through wiring in the building, not just batteries. The operation of your smoke detectors will depend partially on which type of system you have you may not be able to silence a smoke detector on an integrated system, for example. (At least not without ripping it apart and disconnecting the wires which is illegal and dangerous.) But generally if you would like to silence a nuisance alarm temporarily, try pushing the button. Smoke alarms have an expiration date by the way it varies some by manufacturer, but generally they are not any good after ten years. Smoke alarms need to be replaced every decade, or sooner if indicated by the manufacturer. If the smoke detector does not have an expiration date or replace by date on it, then it is definitely too old to trust you and your family's life to so replace it! And remember to dispose of old smoke detectors with your hazardous waste, since smoke detectors contain radioactive materials! The older ones have much much higher levels of radiation than the newers ones, but don't take chances. These are not toys. Bring them to the hazardous waste collection centers.
