Question:

Steering Wheel Vibrates when driving?

My steering wheel vibrates when driving, I think I have a bent wheel on the right side. I‘m in the process of saving up some money to get a new one. (im poor) what would be a temporary fix for this? An alignment or balance and rotate the tires? the cars not pulling to the left or right but im trying to fix the vibration or will it just be like that till I replace the wheel? I feel like im in a massage chair when driving

Answer:

i don't comprehend what shop you took it to yet worn Rear tires won't reason the front end to vibrate. If the vibration happens whilst braking then its likely warped brake rotors. If the front end vibrates only cruising down the line then you certainly decide for an alignment. examine tire rigidity and see if the tire positioned on is even. P.S. uneven tire positioned on is a definite sign you elect for an alignment, which in many circumstances fees decrease than $80 at any community tire shop.
Visually check the tread wear on the tires and if it's looks more worn on one side then it's usually an alignment or balance issue. Assuming it not something obvious like loose lug nuts the cause of the imbalance could be the struts, bent rim, or possibly unevenly worn brake pads.
I would put the bent wheel and tire on the right rear away from the driver and should decrease what you feel and your steering wheel shouldn't shake anymore. Then when you get a chance have the wheel fixed or replaced and then have the alignment checked. Some of the vehicles I have worked on have had wheels bent so bad that I had to put them on the rear just so I could align them.
