Question:

stopping slow leaks in nat gas pipe fittings?

I had to move a gas furnace from an interior wall to an exterior wall (for ventilation). I redid about 10 feet of black pipe so that the pipe ends under the exterior wall for the furnace. Altogether, about 20 pieces of pipe and fittings. I put a pressure gauge on the system, pumped it up to 11 psi, and waited 10 minutes. It was down to 9.5 psi. Some of the fittings I did had a leak when I sprayed them with soapy water. I'm going to take it all apart and put it back together. I used a paste on the threads of the pipe before assembling them. When I put it back together, should I use more paste or more torque on each joint in order to not have a leak? If it's more torque, about how hard should I twist them? It's 1/2 black pipe. I'm using a BF pipe wrench (24).

yeah, i'd get a full face helmet looks are cool and all but since they are safety gear i'd look for functionality. i'd rather have a good looking face and full face helmet than ground beef and a cool, yet scratched up helmet in the event of a crash. also: would you really want to buy a helmet from a site advertising their helmet as a novelty motorcycle helmet?! DOT/Snell is a must.
