That's going to be a worker's compensation claim, I think. She should have have the right to waive her compensation claim if she chooses to sue the driver (not the company, just the driver), but that's risky and time consuming. She's better off with the comp claim, which will cover her loss of wages and any additional medical expenses she incurs (physio, and the like) Your dad won't get coverage under WCB, so he should return to work asap. But by all means have them contact a lawyer, they can explain it better.

sounds like you are beyond what you understand. call in an good electrician to do the job. it will save you money and save your life if you do it wrong. besides you are likely to blow up the stuff as a novice as well.
