I can't find any info on repairing the back axle we think it is called a swing axle, any one have any information on it??
Can't answer with out the year- many changes each had it's own issues,
It is called a swing axle. Older Volkswagens, and a few other cars, used them. They can be a little hairy during extreme maneuvers. Anyway, you're being a little vague. What do you need to know? If you own one, get the Dummies Guide to Volkswagen Repair. No vintage VW owner should be without it. Very simple to repair, but axles may be best left to mechanics with proper tools.
It might help to know if it's on a truck, car or bicycle. And the make and model of the vehicle. Some info please.
