Question:

Taking down mirrors off the wall?

When we bought our house the previous owners added mirrors to the wall in the living room (eww, I know). We never got to taking it down but I've finally had enough and they are coming down. How do I get them off easily without breaking them? Not that I want to keep them, I don't want to cut myself or make a mess. Also after they are down how to get the glue off? I read to use a razor blade but won't that make marks in the wall? Sand it off? Thanks. We're mounting our television on the wall.

Answer:

Throw them away and purchase a pair of warn hubs for 50.00 at any discount auto supply, the hub is two pieces and very simple to install. Check into it you'll be surprised.
A French gunnery officer during the Nepoleonic wars speculated on what would happen if a cannonball was fired with great velocity. He knew that the more power put in the weapon caused the projectile to travel further and rightly guessed that if he had a cannon of sufficient size and power charge that the cannonball would go around the Earth and fall back on him from the opposite direction and with a bigger powder charge would keep orbiting taking atmospheric drag out of the question. The space station is actually falling all of the time while orbiting the Earth but it's speed is enough that it just keeps going around and around but there is still a very small atmospheric drag even at that altitude and that is why it sometimes needs to be boosted up a litttle by the Space Shuttle.
