What I can say with absolute certainty is that innumerable times items have bounced off of my safety glasses and therefore not hit my eye with the potential of doing perminate damage. I can also state that items have fallen into my eyes when I was negligent and have caused severe irritation to the point of having to go to the Emergency room for assistance. Safety glasses should always be worn. If workers on any of my job sites do not use safety glasses when using power tools I tell them put the glasses on or leave the job site.
.better than flipping burgers at mcdonalds. it wouldn't be a very safe career in the long run if your a lazy person, technology is evolving at a rapid pace and to be a good technician you need to update your skills and keep up with the new systems and certifications, if your not willing to put in the extra time to do that, whatever you may know now will be useless in 5 years. so if you really have a passion for it then go for it.
