oooooH! an easy one!!! Coat it with oil, regular is fine. Put it in a 200* oven for several hours. If it has rust, scrub the rust out first before you do this. Never wash your cast iron in the dish washer. Only with hot water, soap if necessary. Once a month, add oil it and let them sit on low temp until the oil gets smokey. Turn off the heat and wipe off the excess oil. You do the same with skillets and suchs. I love cast iron.
