The windshield wiper motor park operation is controlled by potential of the wiper motor module utilising an enter from the park swap in the wiper motor assembly. while the windshield wiper/washer swap is became to the OFF place together as the wiper motor is someplace in mid-cycle, the wiper motor module will proceed to function the wiper motor until the wipers attain the park place. i might verify the wiper crank arm. that's placed as area of the wiper motor module assembly under the hood. The wiper motor is fixed below and the crank arm is linked to the wiper transmission. once you place in the recent one be useful to place in the wiper motor crank arm on the wiper motor together as retaining a 4-8 mm hollow between the V-grove in the wiper motor crank arm and the tab in the different case the wipers won't artwork appropriate.
Depending on the year, make, and model of the van, the most likely problem is the arm fastened to the back of the wiper motor was put on back ward. When this happens the wipers will shut off in the up position. On most vehicles the wiper motor needs to be separated/unbolted from the firewall. Pull out on the motor assembly to get access to the arm mounting nut, usually a 1/2 inch or 13mm nut. Once the nut is removed, lift the arm off the motors shaft and flip it off. Reinstall the nut and tighten, install motor mounting bolts, check to make sure the wipers are in the down position, and test the operation. This should fix this problem. Hope this helps. Christopher
Hey Voceona, nice name, the wiper motor has a parking circuit which should return the blades to the horizontal position when you turn them off. Wiggle the wiring harness and connector which enter the wiper motor. If that does not correct the problem there maybe an electrical problem inside the motor assembly. when he turns off the wipers and it stays halfway, give the external wiiper motor housing a couple of sharp raps with a wrench, if it parks properly, there is a poor contact inside the motor , replace it. hope this helps. good luck
