Question:

Thermos Bottles and the Sun?

If you put hot water in a vacuum / thermos bottle, it will stay hot due to the vacuum insulating it from the outside air. There is a 93 million mile vacuum between us and the sun, yet when I go outside, it feels hot. Why?

Answer:

Don't worry, unless you are expecting a check that's in the mail. Otherwise, just make sure your local firemen know the difference.
Many of the new detectors are wired in and they might also be carbon monoxide detectors. If they stop when you open the windows then you need to be concerned and find out what they are telling you. Check out the manuals..if it is a new house you will have all the manuals. Do not just ignore these..your lives might be at stake.
Try this first - Make sure all the windows are completely closed. Just before switching the engine off activate the recirculation function on the heating and ventilation. It may be that a draft is getting in and setting off the Internal ultrasonic sensors - from your description this may well work. The if it does not work - The car may need a new battery as it is discharging and causing the alarm to go off due to sensing a volt drop
