That looks alright to me, but if your teacher specifically asked for past tense, you should write it like: A 10x10cm piece of aluminium foil was obtained along with a marble and a graduated cylinder was filled halfway with distilled waterThe foil sheet was weighed, as well as the marble and the data was recordedThe marble was dropped into the graduated cylinder and the volume was recorded for the marbleThe marble was retrieved and wrapped up in the foil sheetThe wrapped marble was dropped into the water and the volume was recordedThe volume of the aluminium foil was calculated by subtracting the volume of the marble from the wrapped marble volume and then the density was calculatedThis formula was used to find the thickness of the aluminium foil.
