Question:

throttle and idle control cable on roadking?

i dont know much about mororcycles. but what i do know is that my 01 roadking fuel injection twin cam does not idle well. you have to keep the throttle rolled just a little to keep it running. i was wondering if the idle can be adjusted somehow using this cable i mentioned or maybe by some other technique.

Answer:

you shuld have a screw some where where thr throtle cable is huked up make shure you use the right one you may have one for air idle mixture
The throttle cable turns a butterfly at the throttle body, there should be a stop adjustment that limits how far the linkage returns. Simply turn the set screw in a bit to reduce the amount of return on the linkage. The throttle cable should have ( though very slight) a bit of free play.
Check the cable up by the grip.Should be an in-line adjuster there somewhere.
