Question:

timing belt failed on an interference engine?

On a 90 nissan 300zx a regular no twin turbo or anything auto and when i was driving the top idler pulley broke, no the pulley itself the pulleys fine themanifold stud that holds it into place broke in half while i was driving once it happened i didnt completely notice and take action for a about 5 secs while the car was coasting then it took me about another 5 secs to get off the road and beforeo could even attempt to put the car in park and turn the engine off it had already stopped running. Been two days, car wont start, havent bothered with fixing the stud because im worried if i fix the timing and the car turns over im afraid it will mess up the more valves say if only one or two need to be replaced already what if it turns over and messes up more? What should i do? Want to keep the engine even if it is bad but dont want to pay a mechanic whos gonna charge me an arm and leg just for a test or something i can do myself.

Answer:

My daughter was afraid of the coffee bean grinder - the noise it makes and I would smile at her every time I ran it and eventually she smiled back. Now she thinks the noise is OK and smiles when I turn it on.
The only way to truly know if it's a puppy mill or not is to visit. Do not agree to pay for a puppy until you have visited the site, have seen where they keep the dogs and have actually held the puppy you want to purchase. If you notice that the conditions are not clean, that puppies are shoved into cages and the conditions aren't ideal, it's probably a puppy mill. Also, be sure to look at the puppy you want does it LOOK healthy? Is it playful or does it just lay around? A lot of bad things can come from puppy mills, but using your best judgment will keep you from getting a sick puppy.
you are doing very well now. talking with him about the smoke detector is wonderful. this is a good example of him being able to learn to trust things. just give him time to get used to it.
Is it possible that you could move the smoke detector to a different location-a place where it will be hidden from your child but still effective?
Make some felt ears and put it on them, or a beard. Just make sure it doesn' t block the sensors/buttons.
