Question:

Tire problems?

Okay, well driving to school i noticed that the car kept shaking and making bumpy noises, well i went to school, parked and went to classes. i left 4th period to go home and eat or whatever and the same thing happened, the bumpiness. i pulled to the side of the road and checked. the tire was apparently pushed in or like off the track of the base. i went home going 10 mph to be safe and in the garage. I jacked the car (lifted it) and took the hub cap off, but now the nuts/bolts are too tight, i can‘t get anywhere past that. I am also wondering if i could just place the tire back on track and then get air and if not then put the spare. the roads and filled with black ice and such, huge storm recently, please help

Answer:

try to loosen lun nuts when on floor you may have to stand/ bounce on the lug wrench to brake free then jack it up and remove the rest of the way, also if you can get all the stuff out from the bead area and jack it up you may be able to inflate it with a commpressor
IT takes specail equipment to handle the ALIGNEMTn on a BMW or any other EURO CAR! If you had alignemtn done at a FIRESTONE or GOOD YEAR STORE you wll SUFFER wih tire wear! The GEOMETRY of the BMW suspension is beyond the cpacity of most machines to deliver proper ALINMENTS! hsi ALONE will cause TIRE WEAR! The BRIDGESTONE tires are MARVY for most cars. BMW and other EURO CARS ause NEAGATVIE ROLL RADIUS STEERING somehting that a place that services FORDS and CHEVIES does now fully understand! BMW should be HAPPY to check your alignemtn for you, or contact the BMW help line and ASK QUESIONS! BRIDGESTONE is a very reliable tire, and I have had GREAT oluck with them, but there are CHEAP BRIDGESTONES and SUPERIOR ones as well! I WOULD TEND TO THING that the ALIMENT was done improperly on the WRONG type of equipment! hsi haapened to my 1988 300E BENZS qas well! The ALIGNEMN RACK was not capable of aligning the front end properly! THEY HAD NO CONCEPT! As a result, my BENZ tends to drift into curbs, until I got it reparied properly at the BENZ DEALERSHIP! they sue specail TOOLS for thier alilgnemtns that REGULAR TIRES sores doNOT usualy carry! IT is NOT YOU at all, and maybe not even BRIDGESONE but where you had your alignemtn done! OPEN YOUR HOOD and see how the front SHOCKS are ANLED severely! This affects CAMBER and other features BMW engineered INTO your car! ANY TIRE wil wear badly on a BMW tha has NOT been aligneed with the right TOOLSET! GOOD LUCK!!
Put the spare on and take it to a tire place to get the regular tire fixed. If you can't get the lug nuts off, start with the car all the way on the ground and loosen them by hitting the lug wrench with a hammer or your foot. Only loosen them a little bit with the car on the ground. Once you get them started, lift the car and finish taking the nuts off.
