Question:

Tire size F150 wheels?

What is the widest tire size I can put on a Factory Ford aluminum F150 wheel? Wheel width is 7.5 inches. 04 F150 Heritage.

Answer:

Chances are you have a bad gasket and it has to be changed. They will go out after awhile and can be costly if your not careful. Do you know a good mechanic that will do the work for you honestly. While your at it it is a good idea to change the filter as long as you got the pan off. Don't panic it usually not as bad as it sounds.
Lugnutz is right on the money! Good answer, I will come by and check that out for you. I will check and make sure you have a tight seal and see what I can do about your oil leaking! PLUG IT UP!!
Transmissions take a special kind of oil which is didifferent than your regular (crankcase) motor oil. If you motor oil leaks into your transmission, it can damage your transmission. That is a very expensive thing to fix.
no longer easy to believe you are able to no longer discover 255 sixty 5 17 tires someplace. yet you should use a distinctive length tire, like a 275 sixty 5 R17 on the rear. the 1st selection is the width, no longer the sidewall. The sidewall length is the 2d selection and that's a proportion of the width. you are able to no longer use something yet a 17 for the final selection.
285mm or 11.5in wide would be your best application. so i'm sure you've got 17 wheels maybe 18's. your widest tires sizes to go with would be 285/65-17 or 285/60-18. yeah some people do run 12.5in wide tires on stock wheels (i did at one point) but being that the tire is so much wider than the wheel it pinches the sidewalls and pulls the shoulder of the tire in adding stress causing it not to wear properly.
