I have a 2005 Toyota 4Runner and, for some reason, the rear windshield wiper is not working. (Also, cleaning fluid does not come out on the back windshield.) The front wipers work fine. Before I call the dealership, does anyone have any suggestions on what the problem might be and some solutions I can try. The car is still under warranty but I am always leary of taking my car to the shop if I don‘t have to b/c it always ends up costing me SOMETHING. Thanks for your help!
Check the fuses, anything else will cost more out your pocket than it's worth and If they suspect you were messing with they could void the warranty. The rear wiper might run off a separate fuse than the front. Make sure every thing is plugged in, there should be a plug near the rear gate.
Sounds like the catalytic converter may be plugged when your going 40 the pressure may blow it open. But I don't think so. This is very unusuall. Expecially when you mentioned when you turn right from a stop. I don't think it's the exhaust could be a cv joint. Do you notice a shaking in the front end. Sorry can't help without knowing more or seeing it myself.

Rear Windshield Wiper Not Working
I have NO mechanical ablility but thankyou, thankyou, thankyou for wanting to cut out the noise. I hope it's not a mechanical problem that will affect your driving but someone in America actually isn't trying to annoy everyone else with a noisy muffler. You are one of the few who apparently doesn't have a problem with penis size. You're my hero.
