Question:

Trouble finding motorcycle tire size, 130/90-19?

So I have a Yamaha Virago Motorcyle, the rear tire is a 130/90-16. I want a 130/90-19 for my front. I‘ve shopped around and the closest was a 110/90-19. I‘ve seen Virago‘s with equal size tires for front and rear and it looks sweet.

Answer:

There is not any 27 x 1/4. It needs to be 27 x 1 1/4 Smallest tires I've visible are the 19mm tubulars i exploit on my race wheels. 19mm is roughly three/4 again in the day, I don't forget that Schwinn 27 inch rims had been a reasonably unique dimension than what all people else used, so the 27x 1 1/8 or 27 x 1 1/four tires I used on my Nishiki journeying bike would not match on my lady friend's Schwinn, and vice versa. The difference wasn't tremendous, simply adequate that you simply couldn't make it work. I comprehend it does not aid, however at least you know you're no longer imagining matters. A further possibility is that the less expensive Schwinns used 26 instead than 27 rims. That will give an explanation for a big diameter difference.
The bike won't handle right with that size tire on the front. Just because it's cool and someone has done it doesn't mean you should follow. You are right, it's going to be a tough size tire to find. My three favorite tire retailers don't carry that size. Probably just as well.
